On Friday, your son or daughter received progress reports for the first nine weeks. Please take a few moments to review their progress, help them set goals for finishing the nine weeks, sign the reports so the students can return them to their teachers on Monday. Parents if you need a conference please call us at 919-870-4141 or e-mail the teacher to arrange a time to meet. On Monday, we will have our first home football game against East Wake. This game was re-scheduled after being rained out last Wednesday. On Tuesday, the PTA Board Meets at 1:00 PM at the school. We will host our Mindset Book Club for 6th grade parents from 6 – 7 pm in the media center. If you are planning to attend please sign-up on-line so we can arrange for small group discussions. On Wednesday, the football team travels to Wake Forest and the Animal Science Club meets after school. We will also have study hall for students who have not completed assignments after being given opportunities to complete them by their teachers. Parents will receive a phone call or e-mail if your son or daughter has been assigned. On Thursday, the volleyball and soccer teams will host Wake Forest. On Friday, The PTA will sponsor a 6th grade social from 1:30 – 2:50 in the gym. PTA members will be collecting donations on Monday in the car-pool line. If you haven’t signed up to help please check sign-up genius to see what items or jobs are still needed. Finally, Ms. Cantillo is our new Career Development Coordinator. She will be working on school to career activities and she needs your help. Please go to our web site and complete the parent survey under the pink tab on the left.
