Reactivation for Continuing Volunteers· All continuing volunteers approved for the 2013-2014 school year MUST reactivate as a volunteer no later than 4:00 p.m. on October 31, 2014. Volunteers may go to any WCPSS site and register through the intranet. Access to the volunteer system is: WCPSS Intranet – Business Applications – Volunteer Registration.· After October 31, 2014, individuals previously approved may not volunteer without a new criminal record check. To avoid unnecessary costs to the school system, principals and their staff should encourage continuing volunteers to reactivate early in the school year – and no later than October 31, 2014. · The volunteer system will be open daily for reactivation/registration through October 31, 2014.· From November 3, 2014 through May 18, 2015, the volunteer system will be open on Mondays only, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. However, during this time period, the volunteer system will be closed on the following Mondays: December 22, 2014, December 29, 2014, and January 19, 2015.
There is now a crossing guard at the corner of O'Neal Road and Pride Way. The guard will be crossing elementary and middle school children mornings and afternoons approximately 7:30am - 9:30am and 2:30pm - 4:30pm. Please be aware and practice caution and patience at the intersection.

Events happening this week at Leesville MiddleWednesday - For parents and students planning or interested in attending Leesville Middle for the 2015-16 school term, we will host a Showcase Event on Wednesday, January 21st. This event has been re-scheduled from last week due to icy conditions. There are two opportunities to tour the building and receive most information about the clubs, activities and academic offerings at Leesville Middle. The times are 9:00 - 10:00 am and from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. See our website for additional details.Thursday - All students will complete the Case 21 Reading Benchmarks. We will have a special schedule to the day. The basketball team will host Wakefield. Games begin at 4pm. Please come out and support the Lions!Friday - 6th grade students will complete the Case 21 math benchmarks and the students enrolled in career and technical classes (CTE) will complete a standardized pre-test. Upcoming events - Report Cards will be sent home on Tuesday - January 27th.One Additional Reminder for Car RidersTo keep our students safe we ask that afternoon car riders use the car pool line only for pick-up. Parents please do not park in the teacher parking lot and ask your children to cross the car rider line to get to you. The line is generally only 15 - 20 minutes of wait time. If you are not in a huge hurry to pick-up your son or daughter please consider arriving at the school a few minutes later.Thanks for your support!
